Tidy Towns

Tidy Towns

Tidy Towns is our flagship program celebrating the achievements of communities across Queensland working toward a cleaner, more sustainable future. Since 2016, the program has included an accreditation component, recognising towns for their long-term commitment to environmental and community excellence.

Adopt-a-Spot

Adopt-a-Spot

Litter on our roadways, and in our public spaces washes into stormwater drains entering local creeks, rivers and waterways, where it becomes lethal to marine and wildlife. By removing litter, groups are sending a clear message to the community that littering is unacceptable behaviour and to take care of our environment.

Cleaner Greener Schools

Cleaner Greener Schools

Cleaner Greener Schools is a sustainability accreditation program for primary and secondary schools across Queensland. Schools earn a 1 to 5 star rating for their environmental efforts, from litter reduction and recycling to energy, water, waste, and biodiversity initiatives. The program helps students, teachers, and communities expand their knowledge, develop practical skills, and strengthen their commitment to a cleaner, greener future.

TerraCycle Drop-Off Point

TerraCycle Drop-Off Point

A TerraCycle Drop-Off Point offers a convenient and sustainable way to recycle hard-to-recycle waste. Unlike traditional recycling programs, TerraCycle accepts a wide range of items that would typically end up in landfill, including beauty products, oral care waste, coffee pods, stationery, and more. By dropping off your eligible waste at a TerraCycle collection point, you help divert materials from landfill and give them a second life through innovative recycling solutions. Do your part for the planet, find your nearest drop-off location and start recycling today!
