Cleaner Greener Schools

Cleaner Greener Schools is a sustainability accreditation program for primary and secondary schools across Queensland. Schools earn a 1 to 5 star rating for their environmental efforts, from litter reduction and recycling to energy, water, and biodiversity initiatives. The program helps students, teachers, and communities develop practical skills, and strengthen their commitment to a cleaner, greener future.

Adopt-a-Spot

Litter on our roadways, and in our public spaces washes into stormwater drains entering local creeks, rivers and waterways, where it becomes lethal to marine and wildlife. By removing litter, groups are sending a clear message to the community that littering is unacceptable behaviour and to take care of our environment.

Keep Queensland Beautiful (formerly Keep Australia Beautiful Queensland) is a not-for-profit volunteer-driven environmental charity, with more than 50 years of experience in developing successful litter prevention education, awareness campaigns, and community initiatives.

 

Our programs motivate people to enhance the quality of their local environment through personal initiative and community action.

Iconic programs like the Tidy Towns Clean Beaches accreditation and awards competition, Adopt-a-Spot, and Cleaner Greener Schools have inspired generations of eco-warriors to do the right thing and use the right bin.
